Charles Olsen's quote talks of the dispersion. Does he mean sleep?
ReplyDeleteI am trying to rise early and practice taichi before leaving for dayjob. The mornings are so clear and blueskyed these days. Sleep by 10 pm and up at 5 am - thats the aim for tonight. Nighthawk
He means colonization by the white virus I suspect, though he'd have been well aware of other readings.
ReplyDeleteOne of his shorter poems reads Barbara Ellis / ramp. A student once said to him, "There are 6 different meanings of ramp in the dictionary. Which one did you intend?". Olson answered, "All of them!"
