The Intensives went really well and everyone attending excelled themselves. The 7 hours flew by.
When my teacher started doing Intensives in the late 70's they were all weekend, 9am-9pm both Saturday and Sunday. We'll gradually work towards this.

I'm intrigued. What's giving the lift off? Would it be a good old Irish meal including cabbage? Or a special tai chi technique?
Short energy - spirit, from both me & him. Connexion.
I've never seen anything quite like this before although I have seen people repelled backwards quite a long way. You seem to be several feet in the air.
It's called uprooting. The person should go up, not back. If they go back then you're using force. The Chen style masters used to practice uprooting each other onto 6 foot high ledges. Yang Cheng Fu used to have nets put up in the trees in the park and would ask his partner which one they wanted to be uprooted into. Requires a lot of relaxation and belief.
Thanks, yes I have come across uprooting but I don't think I've seen anyone going up vertically like this.
