About 15 years ago I complained to JK that I felt I hadn't progressed.
“I always feel I'm at the first stage,” I whinged.
He looked at me askew and said, “That feeling never changes.”
About 10 years ago John Porter said to me,
“Steve, you remember when you were a kid and you couldn't wait to grow up?”
“Yes”, I said, expecting him to rue lost innocence.
Instead he added, “Well I'm still waiting.”
