Today is our last day in the Forest of Dean - to London tomorrow - so it seems appropriate to quote from Johnson's The Book of the Green Man, the Spring section of which recounts his travels through the Wye Valley, inspired by Wordsworth, Kilvert and Vaughan, as well as the stunning scenery.
