Surround and contain the other: embrace their physical body and contain their heart within yours. This is often enough to get the job done, or at least start it off on the right footing.

my natural instinct is "avoidance" , avoidance in an attempt to avoid the pain of other people and their "different point of view" and my natural reaction is run away from confrontation, but then they follow lol and i havent actually resolved anything. yes, its painful to embrace the other, its hard but sometimes there is no other way, and you can save time, by embracing the hurt of the other point of view by absorbing it , maybe they were right , maybe they werent, but at least you listened jo xx
