The Need-Fire

There are those for whom the land
itself is an oracle. Those who know
what miracles the ground may bestow.
Root systems remember the soil
from which they were removed. The
fresh leaves of parsley prevent miscarriage,
the dried seeds induce abortion. Magpies
have carried these seeds to improbable
places. The Romans petitioned Robigus
to protect the wheat from mildew.
Rain collected from a violent storm
will impart those properties on to the
one who drinks it. You don't have to
agree with the concepts to make use of
the energy they create.
