but that practice is in every facet of life ... how one talks, moves, thinks ... ... and ... i think i have an issue with the description of 'good' .... ... all of which worries me .. .. and ... how are you and the family ?.. all well i hope? :)
'Good' in the sense of improving - getting better; the work is first & foremost ethical. This is our motivation - why we work - to go deeper - to better understand.
The practice of taichi is quite specific - it involves a Form of stylized movements. Whilst practising the principles of taichi during ones mundane daily life is commendable, it is no substitute for doing the Form, as I endlessly tell my students. If it was a valid substitute then masters could and probably would all stop practising.
The first stage to becoming a good student is to establish a jealously guarded daily practice regime. A sacred time for you to commune with the Tao and with your destiny. Any so-called friends and family who do not respect this part of your life are better abandoned.
