The antelope spends its days grazing the savanna. Every now and then it needs to flee a predator; if it fails then it is killed and eaten. Imagine a situation where all predators are removed. The antelope is now safe to graze all it likes without having to keep a weather eye open for danger. Does that antelope now lead a better life?
