The only book I've ever come across specifically on the subject of what we call 'Softness.' Also one of the most beautiful books I've encountered. Originally in French: Puissance de la douceur, by Anne Dufourmantelle. Click image for details.
Gentleness visits us. We never manipulate it or possess it. We must accept entering its tides, treading its hollow paths, getting lost so that something unprecedented may arise. You could say that gentleness lodges itself in this tenuous, fracturable space where what occurs does so with your consent, even though you can’t understand or grasp it within the boundaries of your former self.
