It's not a matter of understanding the world but of being in it. The world is a dangerous place so being in it will inevitably rouse the spirit, and spirit burns through all knowledge, all theories, all presuppositions. Like a wild animal: in possession of a wild spirit, and so a set of responses that will always surprise, always venture into the unknown.
