Reality is a function of what we believe. Abandon the notion that it happens with or without you. Nothing, ultimately, is external. Truth is created, not revealed, and at the core of every truth is a lie. We make it all up, and we always have; and we always will.

that's like saying that behind every love there is hate.

truth as expressed by some humans may contain misrepresentation (perhaps). Nevertheless, Emerson says “the soul’s communication of truth is the highest event in nature.” We feel the truth.

I like how this Taoist writer frames this view of reality, he says,

"the foundation of Taoism is correct, that Tao, Nature, Reality are One.
The error has been in not correctly realising the properties of the One" he writes.

Only if you focus on one small part of what I say. If you dwell on the whole: how each sentence resonates with all the others, then you'll realise that I'm saying pretty much what the Taoist master is saying, but with one crucial difference: I am suggesting the correct properties of the One.
